Latest Lightweight Dry-Baking offerings

A place to chat about gear and the philosphy of ultralight. Ultralight bushwalking or backpacking focuses on carrying the lightest and simplest kit. There is still a good focus on safety and skill.
Forum rules
Ultralight Bushwalking/backpacking is about more than just gear lists. Ultralight walkers carefully consider gear based on the environment they are entering, the weather forecast, their own skill, other people in the group. Gear and systems are tested and tweaked.
If you are new to this area then welcome - Please remember that although the same ultralight philosophy can be used in all environments that the specific gear and skill required will vary greatly. It is very dangerous to assume that you can just copy someone else's gear list, but you are encouraged to ask questions, learn and start reducing the pack weight and enjoying the freedom that comes.

Common words

Latest Lightweight Dry-Baking offerings

Postby ULWalkingPhil » Sat 14 Sep, 2013 12:53 pm

I've expanded my cake offerings using my Batchstovez Dry Baking Kit with MiniBullDesigns Modified Original Bongo stove.

My niece asked if I could bake a cake for her, something special she asked for, it got me thinking, and this is what I've come up with.

First using my Dry-Baking Kit I baked a chocolate Cake than whipped up some cream and placed chocolate frosting over the cake. I than lined the outside of the cake with Kit Kats and covered the top with M & M's.

I hope she will like it. This is a test sample I've made. I'm a bit excited how well this has turned out and wanted to share. It tastes great.

Bring those out on the OLT (or any other bushwalk) & you'll be a hit - or hated depending on if you have any to share :)

Hi Phil,
I think you've passed the walking companion test with a dessert like that! I'm sure your niece will love it.
