Looking for a light weight for use as guide once i get mu cert 3 finnished.
I like the look & weight of the sea to summit specialist duo. Has anyone got one & played with one?

I have never owned one but a mate I hike with bought one and now never uses it.
He said its like sleeping in a coffin and when it rains you don't want to be in it. One time he had it setup and got his boot caught on one of the fly ropes and it ripped it straight out with a chunk of the tent.
For the $ you can buy so much better look at tarp tents. S2S make good stuff but I don't think this shelter is one of them. My personal thought....

Sure it's really lightweight for ~$600+ - and probably a neat tent providing there's:
a/. No rain (even S2S website advises unsuitable for heavy rain)
b/. No wind
c/. No snow
Durablility? Shelter? For $600+ and can't even keep you dry - I reckon there's many better alternatives.

Look at Tarptent. They're bound to have an option that would suit you.

Options from Tarptent, MSR and Big Agnes are all extremely popular and well reviewed. ZPacks shelters would be the go if you're willing to spend a little extra money and want the benefits of cuben fibre.

Alternatively, this is a little less conventional than a simple tent but you could get a net tent and tarp from Evan @ Terra Rosa Gear, of whom is based in Melbourne 
I've been using a tarp he made and have close to 100 nights under it and it's holding up wonderfully. He's great to work with too and everything is made to order, thus he is usually open to custom work to a certain extent. I got him to add simple things like a few interior ridge line mitten hooks and extra panel pulls to my tarp and he was more than happy to do so. This would also make for a modular setup as well, so you can change it up to suit your anticipated conditions. I.e take just the tarp when you dont need bug protection. You'd have heaps more vestibule/dry space too!
