Decent cheap scales for weighing.

A place to chat about gear and the philosphy of ultralight. Ultralight bushwalking or backpacking focuses on carrying the lightest and simplest kit. There is still a good focus on safety and skill.
Forum rules
Ultralight Bushwalking/backpacking is about more than just gear lists. Ultralight walkers carefully consider gear based on the environment they are entering, the weather forecast, their own skill, other people in the group. Gear and systems are tested and tweaked.
If you are new to this area then welcome - Please remember that although the same ultralight philosophy can be used in all environments that the specific gear and skill required will vary greatly. It is very dangerous to assume that you can just copy someone else's gear list, but you are encouraged to ask questions, learn and start reducing the pack weight and enjoying the freedom that comes.

Common words

Decent cheap scales for weighing.

Anyone know any good decent cheap digital scales?

I want to be able to weigh small items plus my pack with everything in it. (Also to find the weight of my pack, it doesn't fit on my current kitchen scales, even rubberbanded up.)

Thanks in advance for your replies.

I use a kitchen scale for the small things, and a luggage scale for the pack.
you could also put a large container on your kitchen scale (as long as you can see the readout) and then zero it for larger items

+1 for putting a container on your kitchen scales or something like a tall glass to balance things on top of. For weighing the full pack either get a luggage scale (cheap on ebay) or use a floor scale, just weigh yourself wearing the pack then weigh yourself without the pack.
