only transport in and out of milford sound will be by air if anyones planning to do the milford track....

I have flown in and out of Milford sound. It's very bouncy going over the peaks in a light plane - I think I'd be waiting for the road to open.
This makes me the first man to climb Mount Everest backwards, without oxygen...or even a jumper.

Oh darn people will have to walk the Route burn Track instead..... such a terrible alternative at that :D

technically you can climb out. the shortest route is to go up the grave talbot route up the gulliver river up to the grave talbot pass. then grovel along the knife edge ridge , over mt mcperhson and down to homer saddle. and down to the road.
