the sites work quite differently, the linz site only allows downloading specific maps

nztopomaps site gives a dynamic view of the maps online enabling changing of scale and moving over nz as one giant map
from the land of the long white clouds...

That is an excellent site Wayno. I first roughed out my Routeburn/Greenstone/Caples walk on there.

Hi Wayno. I did this walk earlier this year. Trip report here viewtopic.php?f=43&t=5959 I only found out about the Steele creek route by looking at the maps. The routeburn is magnificent, just a pity I had a foggy day as I went over Harris Saddle. I suppose i have to go back now and do it again. :D
