Five day walk

Has anyone split the track up into a 5 day walk. If so where were the nights stops? I think I want to do this walk but I'm very slow up hills and the 7 hour walking on one of the days might take me over 10 hours so I'd like to split it up if I can. :D

I've done it in 3 days coming from Jenolan back to Katoomba. To my mind the hills are a bit easier that way except for ascending Nellies Glen at the finish. You might be able to split the walk into 5 days, in either direction, but possibly with very uneven segments. I'll have a look at the map later.

4 nights might be tricky: there are limited water spots.
From Nellies Glen:
Swing bridge on Coxs R - all downhill
Alum Ck via Murdering Gully (a good climb over)
Blacks Range camp site (water tank) at junction of Blacks Range and the Jenolan Rd (a good climb up)
but what you would do for the 4th night ... ridge without water ?

You could sort things out IF you are prepared to carry water for the night(s).

Cheers
Roger

Alum creek now has a rain water tank. I noted this on my walk from Jenolan to Katoomba in Aug 2017

It's only a fairly short walk from Blacks Range into Jenolan Caves itself. Maybe spend the 4th night there?
