Transport Options

Am planning on doing another section of the AAWT from Kiandra to Thredbo in January 2016.
Rather than complete a complicated car shuffle, does anyone know of any transport options from Thredbo to Kiandra (or vice versa) that can be utilised? I spoke to one transport company today who quoted approx $500 for the trip from Thredbo to Kiandra.
All suggestions welcome...
