Car swap Omeo Highway

Me and a friend are planning on doing the AAWT south from Thredbo to the Omeo Highway and are planning on doing a car swap, leaving one car at Thredbo and one somewhere along the Omeo Highway, due to the lack of transport options in this area. Does anyone have any suggestions for safe spots to leave a vehicle around the Omeo Highway near the AAWT? We have already called the Glen Wills retreat and are waiting for a reply from them. Any help/suggestions appreciated,

I spoke with Gordy a few minutes ago. He has been busy today with a new NBN satellite installation. You should be getting a call any minute. He said it would not be a problem.
