Tarn Shelf in Jan

Postby eggs » Thu 02 Apr, 2009 12:28 pm

It took a long time to process my photos from the Dec/Jan trip.

The tarn Shelf at Mt Field is high on the Autumn walks list, but I had not expected much from a summer short walk to the Tarn Shelf with the family.
However, I was amazed with the colours on this walk. The normal tannin stained water resulting in tea browns and dark blacks were only rarely detected. Instead the tarns had lovely greens and blues I had not seen elsewhere in Tasmania.

A great walk - so here are a few photos - plus the mandatory pics of Russell Falls (which we dropped in on a couple of times)
