Packraft on Dove lake

Postby Tassiedevil » Mon 04 Mar, 2013 10:09 pm

Beautiful day on Sunday 3rd March. Walked around the Dove lake circuit to the Ballroom forest inflated the rafts and then paddled back down the lake. No wind, not a cloud in the sky and 25C. What a great state we live in!!!

Agree 100%.
And what better way to do it than float about on Dove Lake under that majestic view.

Many years ago my boss took his yacht up there are we sailed right to the south end of Dove Lake and up close to Honeymoon island and like your day it was idyllic.
To sit out on that lake and gaze up to Cradle - wow.
I'd wondered if that sort of thing was frowned on nowadays.
Looks like it still possible to enjoy that mode of transport.
