Machinery Creek revisited

Tue 16 Apr, 2013 5:04 pm

Promised myself one day to return and get some pics of these falls.
Don't know if they have a name or not.
They are (at a guess)around 5-6mts in height and could be quite pretty with a bit more water, still quite pleasant even with a low flow.

Taswegian are these the ones you posted a while back? I seem to remember you put some pics of Machinery Creek on but I couldn't find them.
I even checked under Claude Creek as this is what it is named in the old maps.

Davo1 they are too high up.
Aren't they the ones just below Olivers Road?
It's certainly dry.
Still nice though,

Mine are here http://bushwalk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=41&p=165018#p154245
Lot lower down the creek. About 1500 metres from the dam (lake)
I reckon the pictures I posted are the first ones you come to heading up from the dam.

Thanks for backing up my thoughts. I knew them as Claude Ck, but now see its called Machinery Ck.

Sorry mate, but you will have to walk a little further.

Hmmm, I thought it was more recent than that, might be mistaken.
They don't look like the one I was thinking of either.
Doesn't matter, I was just curious more than anything.
These ones are the first below where the track crosses the creek. That's the track that goes from Cockatoo Rd. across to Cethana.

Hey mate, just wondering how you managed to get to the base of these falls? we were mountain biking yesterday on the old track between cethana to cockatoo road and i noticed this waterfall looking quite impressive with some recent rain, but it didnt look very accessible due to the big cliffs either side.
