Davey in search of the Davey

A rather impromptu trip to the south west, looked like the last glimpse of summer. The weather was on for an easy ride (surf)...

Pity about the fire, looks like a great area. What high points are the photos taken from?

Hi mjdalessa, yes i was initially devastated by the extent of the burnt area, then slowly i came to terms with it. I do hope to return to assess the regrowth...
The high points... (gibing the big sail west of Maatsuyker in the dark) :) no seriously Davey Gorge was quite a surprise 120m straight out of the Davey River there is an old foot track across the top which was not very clear after the burn. The other open hill was on the way up De Witt Range which looks like a great overnight walk to Mt Hean.
