Cheers Corvus and Nick! :)

A few from the latest trip, and what will sadly be my last big one before starting my first full time job next Monday. An adventure of another sort, I suppose...

We were lucky enough to spend 8 days in the Western Arthurs, and even managed to get 4 good weather days out of it too! Which was certainly a relief after being rained on and having no views all the way up Moraine A, and then being tent bound at Lake Cygnus for the next two days...

The good weather meant lots (800!) of photos for the trip, which again was nice after having taken a grand total of about 10 in the first 3 days. So be prepared for a rather large influx of Western Arthurs :P

With that said, I better post some photos I guess:

Thanks guys! Definitely lucky to get the weather we did. After three days of slop, blue skies on Christmas was the best present anybody could ask for.

Got plans to get out there sometime soon Snowzone? I'm jealous, I can't wait til I can get back there!

Sure Have BB :D :D :D
Have 12 days in the South West starting Sunday. Planning on the full Western Arthurs traverse and depending on time left afterwards Mt Anne circuit or just up to shelf camp for however long. It looks like we're in for good weather to start and I'm hoping it stays that way. :)

Awesome, hope the weather holds out! I was so glad we got some nice weather, both because of the views, and because of the fact that I wouldn't love to do the harder couple of days in crap weather! Hopefully you can at least get through those bits with the good stuff, though you've got plenty of time to wait it out from the looks of it. Have you walked much down in Tassie before? Been to the WAs before?

You all sick of the Arthurs yet? Good, because I think I've finally finished fiddling with all the photos :P

Been a while since I have updated this thread, and it isn't really summer anymore, but still try to get out and about when I am able.

For something a little different, a couple from a recent indian gathering which I attended:

Still not summer, but some more photos anyway. Had a bit of a break, but managed to get out on a few walks in the last few weeks, in a variety of weather (as always).

Haha yeah, you should see it when it folds up... But nah, this was at the top of King William 1, there's a fire lookout up there which was open, so we figured we might as well enjoy the views in style.

A quick one from a trip to Mt Eliza/Eve Peak today. The original plan had been to get up to the top of Anne, but considering how much ice was around on the way up, plus my fear of heights, we decided to give it a miss. It was still a beautiful walk, with some amazing weather, including being treated to a great sunset.

Another trip up Anne, still no summit. Succumbed to a man-cold this time, but it was still a lovely night spent up on the plateau.
