Split Rock & Shower Cave Falls

Postby Davo1 » Mon 06 Jan, 2014 9:06 am

Our last brief walk for the year 2013, done on the 31st December.
We did the loop up through Split Rock, across to the junction and down to the falls and returned via the lower level.

Would like to see this with a decent amount of water.

A nice place to cool off at the finish.

Thanks ofuros, was very enjoyable and relaxing but have to go back and get some more when there is a bit more water and better light. :-)

Very nice Davo. I particularly like the first one of the falls. Did you have to walk in from the broken bridges?

Gerry I had 4 WD but there was two 2WD in there.
It was dry so not bad, I couldn't see them doing it when it was wet though.

Yea it's defiantly doable in a 2 w drive I took my works transit van in at the start of January. I was going to stop but then I saw it was two hour extra walk time, which had not factored in, so it was ether try and drive in or go home. Took some photos but these put my iPod photos to shame
