Thanks Nuts. I was actually trying to get it into the photo competition but it landed in the wrong spot.
I just felt like sharing it anyway as it just makes me feel like getting out there when ever I look at it.
Such an awesome area!!

You should enter it. The symmetry of the scene and clarity of the reflection is brilliant. It's a wonderful shot. :)

Very clever Icefest. Everyone is a cyber- detective on this site. Bet you can't tell me the wind strength, direction and what quarter the moon was in at the time of the shot?? No, forget it...........you probably can!!!!!

I'm guessing you are not happy to have posted all this information with the photo. Do you want me to show you how to delete it so you don't accidentally post it again?

I personally really appreciate people who leave the exposure/camera/apeture data in there as it helps me learn how to take better images, but can understand if that bothers you.

Hey Icefest

One thing that really bugs me about emails, txt messages etc, is how easy messages can be misconstrued. I don't have any issues at all with you posting info about this shot. It just stuns me how quickly and easily people are able to access information about the activities of total strangers nowadays!!

My reply was an attempt at humour and not a complaint at all. I began asking you for some information (wind, weather, moon phases) thinking that I was being a smart *&%$#! and asking the impossible, but as I was typing I realised that with the date of this shot already available, anybody who felt like trawling back through some basic BOM records would most probably be able to come up with everything I asked for!!

I appreciate that you have taught me something today.

Cheers mate!

Great shot that!

I reckon the wind speed was zero :-)
And he sees the vision splendid of the sunlit plains extended,
And at night the wondrous glory of the everlasting stars.
