Tassie timelapse

Postby stepbystep » Mon 01 Aug, 2016 9:20 am

Hey all, I'm 4 years into a project filming timelapse sequences from Tassie's wilder places. I think it will take me another decade to find the time to get everything I want, but here's a little teaser. Hope you enjoy.

Hi stepbystep, just having trouble getting it to play. Is it a big file?

Not really, make sure it's switched to HD and wait for it to buffer. Plays fine here...

Very nice. Ive started to do them myself at times. I need to carry a sturdier tripod though.

There's some good stabilising software you can use to get rid of some jittery-ness

Fantastic SBS. On average over what period is each scene?

G'day, and cheers all. It depends on a number of factors most notably the speed of the moving parts of the scene, but the daytime stuff would be shot over 20-30 minutes each sequence and the night time stuff much longer, 2 hours or so...

Very nice little clip, reminiscent of those excellent time lapse videos by Joe Shemesh.

stepbystep, is your nickname framebyframe?

You have selected some stunning locations and been equally rewarded with beautiful atmospherics. Congratulations Mate.
