Heysen Trail: Buckaringa Gorge to Moralana Scenic Drive

Postby whitefang » Thu 17 Aug, 2017 10:53 pm

A few weeks ago I came back from a club trip along the Heysen Trail in the Flinders Ranges. We covered a little over 100km in six days of walking between Buckaringa Gorge and Moralana Scenic Drive. It was my longest trip (in days but not distance) and was really enjoyable to go at such a relaxed pace.

My main aim of the trip was to document it in video. This is something I have wanted to start doing for a while now on my walks, but this was the first opportunity I had to walk in an area that I thought was spectacular enough to put in the effort of videoing. For those who watch videos made by Joe Brewer or Dallin Wellington on youtube they have been my main inspiration for style and music. This is my first video and I'm really hoping to do a lot more in the future, but for that I need to make sure I get on the trail more!

Hope you enjoy and I have added a few photos from the trip below too.

That last shot looks very familiar. Aroona Valley?

That one is just south of Moralana Scenic Drive looking back at the Elder Range.
