That's right Adam. So those ripples were what was on top of the sand formed by currents in the shallow sea where the sediment was laid down, I think those rocks are Adelaidean, so say around 800 million years ago. There was a similar outcrop on the Scotts Peak Road which I visited during my geology course, but although I have been back there several times since, I have been unable to find it again.
Well, as I said I think they are cool! But then geo's get excited about small things sometimes!
