A day trip to Waterfall Valley and back

Postby Davo1 » Mon 13 Jan, 2014 5:28 pm

Swore I would never go back to Cradle on a weekend.
Well I fibbed, we left at 6am to beat the crowds.
Was a great day although a little on the warm side.
Didn't run into many people until on the way out, then it was like dodgem cars.

Beautiful! Well done Davo1.
Love the one of Crater Lake. The Barn Bluff pic also a stunner. Maybe just crop out the shrubbery in the foreground. This will turn your great pic into a million dollar pic. Sweet stuff!

Thanks Sherpa.
I always have a difficult time choosing which ones to post.
My wife chose the other one :-)
Maybe one of these is more to your taste. :-)

Is that a feral cat in the last : )
Was looking at these the other day, very nice davo. Where do you get one of those cameras that take so many blue sky shots?

No it's just a rock....

Guess some would say I was just lucky :-) In saying that it, might have been nice to see the blue but could have done without the heat and would have really appreciated some cloud cover on the day.

Soon as I saw the tripod I knew the pics would be worth looking at. Lovely stuff, must get to the other places around Cradle one day.....lot easier if you live in Tassie though! Cheers, Ian

Some more nice photos there. I think I like the Cradle Mtn and Dove Lake silhouete at dusk........this would look better as a B+W version (IMHO). Thanks for sharing yet again.
