I've been there three times but didn't get to Lover's Falls until the last time. Sadly, drought prevailed and there was but a trickle coming over.
Thanks for jogging my memory. Cheers, Ian

Beautiful place for sure.
Love the one of Whyte River.
Many years ago I rowed up there. Seem to remember a very high sulphur smell.
Does it still stink?
It has a history belying that beauty.
14 June 1902
WHIYTE RITVER MININNG. A correspondent writes:-Mining operations at Whyte River are progressing steadily. Mr. Edward Brown, who is tributing part of the Washington Hay mine, has about 10 tons of silver ore ready for market. The last parcel of this ore sold to Mr. Armstrong, of Zeehan, assayed, silver, 104oz.; lead, 78 per cent. per ton; valued at £20 per ton. The Mount Stewart mine is also being worked by a local syndicate, with very good prospects of satisfactory results. They have a large shoot of metal, and are getting several tons out for sale to the Magnet company. The state of the track appears to be their chief difficulty.

That must have been an awesome sunset time, love that scene.

Thanks for posting.
