If thats what Russell Falls is at present, i wonder what Horseshoe Falls would be like?

If the weather clears up a bit might have to take a drive out there soon.

I suspect its snowing at Mt Field at the moment and bad weather forecast all week - it will probably pump like this for a few days!

Certainly a lot of water in all those pics. Dip Falls is hardly recognisable

I took this one at Cethana a couple of weeks back and got absolutely saturated

How did you manage to keep the camera dry?

Great photos, great to see the falls with so much water coming over them.

Ahh Gerry,

That picture of Devils gate dam brings back childhood memories. Friend of the Family used to live in the first house on the lake side of the Devil Gate Road as you drove down to the dam. I remember the days of picking mushrooms, riding my BMX up and down the road to the power station and back, and generally having a great time.

I'm glad to see you got that view of the Dam. Someone had recently told me that they had fenced off & gated the road to the power station at the information point by the top of the inlet there. To have taken this photo, that certainly would not have been the case.

They have put another gate that you can walk past in further up the road where that picnic looking area and carpark is. You used to be able to drive right down to the dam where theres another gate before the road starts to slope down the hill. Bit stupid in my opinion

Had to go out to Mt Field after seeing the photo in the OP. Both Russell & Horseshoe Falls were fuller than i've ever seen either of them.
