I shall check my photos to see if there are any worth putting up as I am not much of a photographer but I have just returned from a couple of days in the Aire River catchment in the Otways and the waterfalls, creeks and rivers are in spectacular condition.Possibly the best I have seen them in the 20+ years I have been going to the area so can highly recommend seeing them now.
And by the way for those interested the fishing is in the same situation :D

We visited Upper Franklin River Falls on Saturday. These falls are visible on Google Maps satellite view. Looking at the satellite view we thought the falls were going to be spectacular so we were a bit disappointed when we reached the base.

Gee that's greened up since I was first in there. Paradise, I mean. Basically just bare rock and dirt. Not long after some fires hit, from memory.

The "grotto" under Bindaree Falls. A great place to be in a heatwave.

Bindaree track was closed off when we passed through in 2014.
So it is now officially open again?

I know nothing about the track being closed in 2014 but definitely open now. It was my first time there but I think the platform in Neil's photo could be reasonably new. Perhaps why the track was closed back then???

Bindaree track is definitely open. It was like a graded "super highway" when we traveled it in December (when the photo was taken).
Bluff track is another deal. Although not closed it is extremely rough particularly between KB junction and Lovicks Hut.

Two more from today. I won't reveal exact location due to access being off track in a sensitive area. The general area is the Strzelecki Ranges.

Hey guys, new to this forum. I've just made a youtube channel to put up a few videos of waterfalls i've visited in the Otways ranges. Looking forward to next winter! Check some out if you get a chance, let me know if you have any questions. Cheers. :D

Welcome to the forum WillKendrick. Nice footage. There are lots of beautiful falls in the Otways. Wye River Falls are still on my to do list. Do you know if there is any access to above these falls?

Thanks mate! Not too sure, I was wondering this myself as i'm aware there are a few falls above wye river falls. My best guess would be following a tributary down from Kennett Road or Wye River Road- providing the canyon isn't too steep (the contours look a bit gnarly). I was planning a trip next winter to achieve just that, might need to break out the climbing gear. Cheers :)
