2-day hike suggestions

Postby jimmeyer176 » Mon 09 Jan, 2017 10:19 pm

Heya - I'm a very experienced long-distance hiker who's had the pleasure of herniating my L4/L5 disc, twice now :) Late March marks one year since the last injury and I'm building up physically for a mellow overnight trip. My definition of mellow overnight would be about 25kms or so, I don't mind a bit of climbing. I was hoping someone could recommend a good hike to test the waters either in the Blue Mountains or along the Great North Walk. The key criteria being:
- public transportation
- places to camp
- marked well (this is a physical challenge, I don't also want a mental challenge)
- moderate terrain, easier the better
- moderate to heavy foot traffic in case I blow my back out again

Any suggestions appreciated. Cheers!

Top of Mt Solitary from Katoomba Station, or Junction Rock in the Grose Valley from Blackheath Station.
