Lord Howe Island tracks

Postby kicyclist » Fri 07 Apr, 2017 12:37 pm

Does anyone know if the walking tracks on LHI are all open since ex cyclone Debbie?
2 tracks in particular being to Goat House Cave and to Boat Harbour.
My wife& I are booked to go in the first week of may.
Any recent info about the LHI walks would be appreciated, Thanks.

I'm heading there again in mid May and hadn't even thought that they may have been effected by cyclone Debbie!

Just had a quick poke around the various Lord Howe Island social media pages that I follow and apart from a few flights being cancelled (which happens pretty regularly anyway - I'd recommend getting travel insurance if you haven't already) doesn't look like they were hit to hard, just rain and wind (which also happens pretty regularly there).

Thanks beachcruiser,
Yeah flights were cancelled when I was there in june 2015. My wife& I had travel insurance then and received i free night on the island thanks to Qantas.
We have insurance again this time. Sounds like the walks have been unaffected.
Our planned return date is may10 so would not see you there. If you like I could send you an update before your departure.
What a jewel that little island is!
