Hello!,
I'm looking for a walking companion for the Great north walk Sometime in the future, I'm pretty flexible with dates.

I've previously completed the Overland Track and I'm fairly fit. I'm easy going, relaxed. Let me know if you have any more questions!, or Let me know if there is a group already being organised!

Hi.....I'd be interested in doing this walk but it all depends when you're planning on going, and for how long are you planning to walk?

I'm off O/S in August-September so don't know if that helps at all...?

Anyway, if you're still interested and would like a few details about me-experience etc, then please feel free to PM me any time.

I'm in Sydney....inner west by the way.

Cheers

Norm

Hi Strangel......thanks for the reply.

When had you in mind for this walk....I know you say you're flexible, but I guess you must have a vague idea?

Would be interested to hear whatever plans you have.....or if you'd like to discuss details?

Must admit I'm surprised about the lack of response to this post as I thought it might be something others here might be interested in doing.

Good timing. Ive been planning a few sections of the GNW.

Due to work etc, I cant do a thru-hike of the entire GNW however can commit to two nights three days or possibly three night sections.

Im fairly fit and in my 30s. I walk for the scenery and nature experience rather than for fitness / getting to a point as fast as possible.

Happy to chat more about this.

Definitely keen and ready to rock n' roll anytime as I'm off work at the moment :) Shoot me a PM or email me at Jason.richard.watts@outlook.com. I'm planning a hike into the Grose Valley in NSW and I'm preparing for 2 months in Tasmania's South West wilderness for 2 months in Summer.

Hi
I've done a couple full days and a couple one night solo hikes on the GNW. That's as far as my experience has taken me. Would be nice to have some company and to learn from others.
I can do 3 to 4 nights only due to work and family commitments. I'm on the Central Coast.

Although this post is a bit old now, I want to let anyone who is interested know that I and a friend are planning on doing 5 nights of the GNW soon - commencing in a week and a bit. We will be starting part way (near the Hawkesbury river sections).

We are enthusiastic but leisurely walkers with considerable bushwalking experience between us. We welcome others who are keen to accompany us for some or all of the walk.

If you are interested, please PM me and I can let you know the details.

I'm keen to cover GNW in day walks splits across few weekends. If anybody is interested, please PM me. Unfortunately, I'm a newbie ( few day walks in New England national park this year) but happy to tag along if you've similar plans.

Hi,

I am doing this walk section by section in day and overnight and now I have to do Somersby store and further toward New Castle.
But there is no public transport to come back at Somersby store.
Now I am looking if someone can help me to know if I go multiple sections in one go and get the public transport to get back to Somersby store where I will leave my car at the start of walk.
Then from Somersby to where I have to walk.
