It's Barn Bluff but I don't know about Fury Gorge. Please give more details about the location in relation to something fixed. Ta everso.

Huh? Have the game rules changed or is my "Where am I?" answer of Barn Bluff incorrect? On my only visit to Barn Bluff it looked pretty fixed. Less relevant, but fairly sure the dominant background feature is Fury Gorge.

What is happening is that you are answering lopohophaps.... where simplicity is ruled out by definition ....
Yes - the view is of the Fury River on the RHS valley floor.
Yes - you are definitely on the climb up Barn Bluff.
Perhaps he was after Pencil Pine Bluff as the background high ground?

Thank you. I had not heard of Fury Gorge, never been there. It was not on the portion of map that I was viewing as it was folded away. Pencil Pine Bluff is not on my map. If the answer had been "Ascending Barn Bluff" then that would have been enough. All yours, John.

You could be on the Erskine range with the Breaksea islands and Big Caroline Rock visible.

The shale ridge in the background reminds me of the ridge between the Citadel and Murphy's Bluff. Maybe this is at Frankland Saddle?
