Variegated Pandani

Postby MickyB » Tue 13 Feb, 2018 4:12 pm

Last week on the OLT I saw a variegated Pandani (green with white stripes). I asked the ranger about it and he had never noticed it before nor had he ever seen one. Has anyone else ever seen one before? Are they common? TIA.

Never seen one myself. But I reckon the folks at Plants of Tasmania Nursery would know how common they are and might be interested. http://www.potn.com.au/

I asked a botanist mate of mine if he has ever seen any variegated padanis. He is a resident of Tassie and has discovered many new species of plants in the state. He had never seen a variegated pandani but saw several tricolour(red/green/white) pandanis about 40 years ago near Strathgordon.
