How big is the smoke plume coming off of Newnes?

I'l be up at Newnes Plateau in a few days. So I'l let you know.

According to the RFS site map the hazard reduction fire has burnt through the ruins. :evil:

Good news.

Was there this weekend.

- Fire is out (visibly atleast) and there is no lingering smoke
- fire did not burn the ruins.. in fact it didnt even make it into the valley. You can see where they tried aerial ignition but the fire didnt spread.. hopefully they wont try again.
