Thought it looked familiar.

Shifting the game a little west. OK, all the way to Wozzieland. Name the river down there. Bonus Tim Tam if you can pinpoint where I am.

Ummmm, just a sec while I check something . . .

Edit:: OK, apologies to all, I got my dates and locations and all sorts of things mixed up. It is the Victoria River and it is in the Territory rather than Woz. Sorry.

Over to you, Neil.

Thanks NNW. I'd had the map out checking the border of WA but given the strong clue regarding not being amused I thought what the heck........
I'm a bit light on for decent photos at the moment so I'll hand ball it to eggs who is always good for some great photos.

Ok then.
I agree the clue suggested Victoria - but curious now about the "where"

About that bonus Tim Tam. Are you on the Joe Creek Loop? If so, I will provide a mailing address for physical delivery.

Sorry. This is Judbarra but on the main scarp not the loop track - not even on a track at this point, I think, as I wandered a bit further back from the end of the Escarpment Track to join up with the exploration I'd done from my overnight park up a rough 4WD track behind the ridge.
Better luck next time.

That it is, bernieq. Not very far south from Angusvale camping area, and before the valley narrows.

... and a very nice river it is.

Still in Victoria, to which range does this mountain belong ? (and only correct spelling will be accepted :)

35 hours and no guesses?? Is everyone watching the Tour?

A hint, then : this range is west of Melbourne.

Grampians, Victoria Range. My understanding is that the Tour de France does not go there.

No - and now there are not many ranges left to choose from. A different angle should make it more obvious - the mountain in question is on the right of this pic :

Ahhh, snuck in there, GBW, and you are correct.

Not Sierra, as I've heard it referred to a few times - Mt Fredrick on the Serra Range from the track up from Sheep Hills carpark, part of the Major Mitchell Plateau walk.

Parks are busily destroying this walk in favour of the glamping dollar.
