Someone should post a shot of Yellowbush.
I have probably been it, but don't know quite what you are describing. I presume it is not a Gorse infestation...ughh!
Next one - name the creek that feeds this outlet.
- Outlet at Wineglass Bay fed by Indigo Creek

I was actually just reading your thread in which this photo features.. Is it Cherry Creek? The LIST is a bit vague.
Wed 25 Jul, 2018 4:12 pm
I am looking for another colour.
Cherry creek is high up, but ends when it joins another.
Maybe if you swap to the other map view on the List the main creek name will become more obvious.

Orites acicularisI remember a horrid amount of
scoparia on the way up from the saddle, which was bearable only because most of it was in flower, and there was a good variety of colour. And then all the bauera on the way down to the final saddle with all the buttongrass and snakes.
Don't recall seeing much Yellowbush there.

Thanks NNW.
Have seen this on Wellington and recent walk across Ben Lomond.
I don't remember whether I have ever encountered it in sufficient density to be a problem.

Ah yes that would be indigo creek.

I will post the next photo now as I might not be able to later on.
This one should be easy

Of course you are correct bogholesbuckethats

Are you near Scotts Peak Dam
Thu 26 Jul, 2018 5:27 am
I'm hoping it's from Red Knoll....
Thu 26 Jul, 2018 7:15 am
Both guesses are nearby but I'm after the mountain that is in the middle of the frame

You'll be looking at Mt Jim Brown [Giblin] - but I think you are on an island - Scotts Peak and its little isthmus in the western side.

Jim Brown is correct eggs and you are also spot on with my location.
The image was heavily cropped from this photo which clearly shows the isthmus

Very nice.
Next one - name the low down range at centre of photo.
Double extra bonus if you know where I was.
- The Red Hills wedged between Moxon Peak/Mt Murchison and Julia Peak from the high point directly north above the climbers cave near Lake Huntley [spot height 1159]

Is it Moxon Peak and Murchison, with The West Coast Range below (Julia Peak), taken from the southern end of the Stitch Range?
Thu 26 Jul, 2018 12:29 pm
You have the surrounding parts right - but you need to colour in the name of the hills in the middle.
Also - not from the Sticht Range
Thu 26 Jul, 2018 1:01 pm
Colour them in with Red?
As for where from.. Maybe Huntley Lookout? The perspective seems off from my memory if it was from Tyndall, hence my guessing further east
Thu 26 Jul, 2018 1:31 pm
Very good.
Red Hills is correct... following the current rather difficult theme.
And Huntley Lookout is a reasonable response given that I was actually on the high point directly north above the climbers cave near Lake Huntley [spot height 1159]

Oh I love it! Okay, let's keep it going. What colour related named point am I looking at?
Thu 26 Jul, 2018 1:52 pm
I don't recognise it but surely we must be at black bluff by now, from Mt Tor?
Thu 26 Jul, 2018 2:01 pm
Nope! Bit more south than that.
But that's a good one.

I'm thinking from the Hills above Huon Valley. Blue Gum Hill?
Thu 26 Jul, 2018 6:33 pm
Certainly thinking along the right line... this mtn has a point to it though....
