My Scarp survived the gales and storms on Eldon Peak, albeit not particularly comfortably. MJD's Nemo didn't even flinch through the worst of it. Joe''s Tungsten was flattened, snapped a pole and leaked.
Obviously II'm not massively impressed, although you are not likely to get conditions like that up Cape York unless you go walking in cyclone season.

Im curious cuz mine is rather well seam taped and seems pretty sturdy. When was that tent roughly purchased? Anyways I guess I'll find out sooner or later if and how it holds up

It wasn't brand new, but it hadn't had a lot of use. Granted, the weather was appalling - 95km+ winds etc - but the two other tents were no older and coped a lot better. Maybe we just did a better job of pitching them.
Huntsman247 wrote:When was that if you don't mind me asking? Poles look really sturdy. Wondering if it may have been improved since then... I set mine up this afternoon in the front yard freestanding firstly as I wanted to measure guyline lengths ect. and the wind picked up and blew it tumbling a decent distance. I thought something was gonna snap but it's perfectly fine. That wasn't 95k though.
I'm really wanting to test it in wind now. lol
Well I'll let you know if it packs it in. Now I just have to wait for a gale...north-north-west wrote:Huntsman247 wrote:When was that if you don't mind me asking? Poles look really sturdy. Maybe three and a half years ago, so it probably has had an update. The conditions we had were extreme, and it was a very exposed campsite. My reaction is less on overall performance as the comparison to the other two tents.
