"On Sunday, Tasmania Police told of the efforts to rescue Ms Walker, which involved risking the lives of emergency crews in hazardous conditions at the crash site, 100 metres below the summit at West Portal, near Federation Peak and the Western Arthur Range."
Men wanted for hazardous journey. Low wages, bitter cold, long hours of complete darkness. Safe return doubtful.

A long break between Helicopter Rescues
As per matagi below
From Tasmanian Police Facebook
A 29 year old Sydney woman had slipped and fallen three metres to the base of Ferguson’s Falls on the 20th April.
She was winched from the area with serious non life threatening injuries.
She was part of a guided walking group.

A 45 year old Devonport female was rescued when she fell approximately 8 metres landing in the pool at the base of Parsons Falls near Lake Mackenzie yesterday.
An off duty remote area nurse and other members of the public provided first aid.
Both Rescue Helicopters were used in the Rescue as a retrieval doctor was required. She was flown to Hobart with facial and other injuries

You missed the one on April 20th at Fergusson Falls.
This makes me the first man to climb Mount Everest backwards, without oxygen...or even a jumper.

From Tasmanian Police Facebook
A 37 year old woman from USA was airlifted from the Arthur River area today and flown to Wynyard
(well equipped and uninjured)
She became stranded due to rising river levels while bushwalking alone and activated her PLB.
(Report said EPIRB)
