Light to light walk in May/June?

Postby Siyi » Mon 06 May, 2019 10:22 pm

I want to do the light to light walk in late May or June.
I need to travel from Sydney to Eden, then to the walk.
Any one have a suggestion for transportation to the walk? Public transport will be ideal but I couldn’t find any. I’ve looked for taxi but it is too expensive. Or anyone want to do this walk during 23rd May to 28th June and do not mind an extra person joining? I can share any cost.

Bus, or train and bus from Sydney to Eden. You may find a Eden - Melbourne bus could drop you off at Boydtown - then walk and swim, or hitch if you are lucky, the 6 km to Boyd's Tower - which I assume is the N end of the Light to Light walk.

Or, once in Eden, ask yachties for a lift to the other side of Twofold Bay - there is a nice beach in front of an old isolated large house that we have landed the runabout on - and them walked to Boyd's Tower.

Thanks so much for your suggestions.
Where can I find the yachts? And also, do you have any idea how to get back once I’ve done the walk (from Green Cape Lighthouse to eden)?

If you give the NPWS Ranger a call, she is really helpful and can suggest a few transport options. I spoke to her earlier in the year with my own planning as it all seemed a bit of a conundrum.
