It looks like Diamond Head, but I can't work out where you were when you took the photo.

Not Diamond Head or Oahu Tyreless, but it is Hawaii. Looking for the name of the trail/location.

Actually, I'll repeat/link the image since it has already dropped off the current page:

Ocean is very close on my RHS (east). Rode about 8-10 km north to here on this easy multi-purpose, multi-surface trail from a couple of km south of town.

Good guess WW, Ke Ala Hele Makalae trail (on Kaua'i) is correct. I rode from south of Kapa'a to this spot where the trail ends north of Donkey Beach. This is the most remote spot you can access from the trail. I believe there are plans to extend it further. At one point an aggressive rooster charged and attacked the bike from the side as I rode past it .

No, I've been to that tower. We were looking in through the gate when a voice came through a speaker telling us to move on (or, presumably, they would come out with big guns and move us on or otherwise!) Similar thing happened at the border near San Diego where we stopped on the overpass to look at the cars but apparently you weren't allowed to stop (walking that is.)
I'm away from home and international photos until next week so someone else had better take a turn.

My first thought was Clay Cliffs of Omarama meets the snow.
Hadn't heard of it but could this be on the Rock and Pillar Range?
