Once an item is sold, found or thread is no longer needed we move it here. These maybe helpful for historic reasons.

[LOST] Overland Track, Parachord Survival Bracelet

Postby Son of a Beach » Wed 16 Oct, 2019 11:24 am

On the 1st of October 2019, my daughter left her parachord survival bracelet on the ground next to the Overland Track just south of Pelion. It looks a little like the one in the attached image, but the rope is round (not flat), and has white-ish flecks in it. The buckle in the lost bracelet has a built in whistle.

She could make another one, but this one has great sentimental value as she made it on the Scout Jamboree earlier this year.

She took it off (who knows why!) while I was helping her tape up a potential blister point on her heel, then forgot to pick it up again.

The location was:
Overland Track, ~15-30 min south of New Pelion (Oakliegh View) Hut, right on the eastern side of the track

Would be very hard to spot sitting on the dirt there.

But in case anybody picked it up as rubbish, we would love to get it back.

If you post me any other location details I'll have a look first week of December. It'll be 2 months since you lost it but I'll give it a try.

My daughter tells me that she sat on a log or fallen tree or stump, under another tree, on the left edge of the track (going south) when she put it on her shoes. It must have then fallen off the shoes before she put them back on.

Thanks for keeping your eyes peeled.
