No, nothing clever about the photo Greg. I've been fortunate to have the opportunity to take a number of interesting train trips both here and overseas. Some very short, some longer.
Although nowhere near as many as a very committed railway buff would probably do. I'm still disappointed that during our 2017 New Zealand trip, our booking on the Tranzalpine from Greymouth to Christchurch was cancelled due to wildfire destroying a bridge.

As for the current photo, I'm still working on it...

A Wainwright! Spot-on Eggs, it is Striding Edge with Helvellyn in the background, have you been up there yet? It was blowing an absolute gale when I made it to the top that day so I spend as little time as possible to take a few pictures and then bugged out down Striding Edge. Had a few beers at the White Lion in Patterdale to recouperate.

A quick pass through, overnighting at Eskdale.
Only managed a short stroll at Kirkstone Pass, a visit to Wastwater and a good look at Aira Force.

We weren’t far from Killarney, but not in the Killarney National Park.
I am after the name of the Lough.

Yes eggs, Athabasca Falls off the Icefields Parkway in the Rockies. Pumping an amazing amount of water when we were there.

Much smaller, but you are in the right area. This one is about colours - and there is a coloured lake nearby.

It could be the Pukekaikiore feature just west of Mt Tongariro. Anyway, I am pretty sure it is that place that was in one of the LOTR movies, hehehe!

The way things are going I will be revisiting NZ before QLD or Tassie.

I rarely take panos but here's one from the USA:

Apparently some spots in the crater get so quiet that it exceeds the technical capabilities of the microphones used to measure sound.
