Monolith Valley is sort of correct in a broad sense, most of the features in view draw a ring around it. But Nibelung from (the northern end of) Owen is more correct in this case i think, so will go with Crollsurf's answer

You got it, eggs. My trivial response was mainly in jest. All the same, I thank johnw for the background information, which confirmed what I'd already perceived about the demographics of the forum.

Mt Owen from The Castle?

PS. If I'm right then WFBW should go next - this is a "where is it", not a "where was I".

It feels wrong for me to post after proposing an incorrect answer, since I had convinced myself that WFBW's photo couldn't possibly have been taken from The Castle. Well done tyreless for getting it 100% right!

Anyway, I managed to find a photo that's from Vikkie:

I haven't been in that area for decades, but it looked familiar. That part of the coast has experienced some instability in recent years, so I wasn't sure whether that particular bit might have collapsed into the sea.

You generously posted a Vic shot, so I will reciprocate and put up one from NSW. With just a hint of hesitation, if you know what I mean.
