TIP: The online Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. It is particularly useful for planning for groups who share food or other items, but is also useful for individual walkers.

replacement torch for Nitecore NU25

Thu 11 Apr, 2024 2:58 pm

I had (I cannot seem to find it) the original Nitecore NU25 headtorch and I need to find a replacement. Seems people are not quite happy with the new version.

Has anyone tried the Nitecore UT27? Or which one are you recommending I should look at?

I've had an NU20 for years and more than happy with it. I prefer it to the NU25, but it doesn't have a red light, which may be important if sharing a tent.

Still have the old version too.
The new nu25 seems fine to me...usb c charging same as my phone, 7hrs walking on low but when the battery does die it dies almost instantly, Iightweight so no neck strain.
Button have more modes but not difficult to learn.

Even accidentally put it through the washing machine on cold wash. Still works.

Cord version not as comfy, but i can replace the elastic cord if I need to.

UT27 looks like a replaceable battery version...similar modes.
