Description

Mount Pelion West is the third highest peak in Tasmania. It is located in the Cradle Mountain - Lake St. Clair National Park north west of Mount Ossa. This mountain would be familiar to anyone who has walked the Overland Track because it is very visible as you head from Cradle Mountain to Pelion Hut. The Pelion West Track is a side trip from the famous Overland Track requiring an extra day to complete, but the start of this track is not marked.
