Macpac Olympus Birthday Cake

Postby Son of a Beach » Thu 01 Jun, 2023 7:41 pm

My wife is amazing. My daughter wanted a “tent cake” for her birthday cake tomorrow.

The cake has all 8 guy ropes (furled) and one outer door open.

How cool is that?

Not sure which I'm most impressed by - your wife's incredible creativity or your daughter who wanted a tent cake! :D

Well, if going bushwalking is excellent parenting, then being a parent is easy! :-D

Although I do remember the times when my kids were little when they'd burst into tears when I was about to leave for a few days of walking... so yeah, not always that easy. It was then I realised I needed to slow down on my own bushwalking, and spend more time with my family. But it's been great since they've been old enough to start tackling some harder walks with me.

Yes, good point. I'm very blessed to be surrounded by excellent people in my family. :-D
