I just don't see the appeal of Twitter. I don't 'get' it. It is kind of like the facebook 'Cassie is ....' but their is an expectation that posts will be more frequent.

"Ran out of toothpaste this morning...brushing teeth with only water!!"

I am open to being convinced however, so I might give it a go again.

Generally, that's it in a nutshell, but because it's so simple, it's easier to let people know what's going on. Ie. you don't have to put up with all the childish crap like on Facebook.

Better yet, you can easily update your status from your mobile, and a variety of other methods. Essentially, social networking is meant to be about keeping up with what people are doing. Twitter does that, and only that.

Mmm, have just started playing around with Twitter - finding my way, and finding it interesting - I think the early mail is only to "follow" people who have a specific interest that you want to read about e.g. hiking etc

This is my user name: http://twitter.com/frank_in_oz
