The Go-Go's punk? Really?????

Here's a couple which just scraped into the 1980's and are guaranteed to set your fillings on edge. Cyndi Lauper pre-solo career.
This album is one of my guilty pleasures and really showcases her enormous vocal talent. Love how she always performed (and still does) in bare feet!

Y'all can thank me later.

and this one's just cute

Good stuff Eremophila, 2nd one has a bit of a Shangri-las revival about it.

Here's one that was an undergraduate favourite for years after its release

Blister in the Sun was such a huge song for such a weird little band.

Blue Nile - well that's an interesting band. Didn't know anything about them but I've just had a YouTube moment checking them out. They're now on my list for a proper listen.

A walk across the rooftops album suits me just right.

Nice thread. My '80's are a mix of the tracks so far and a bunch of things like:

Massappeal - best band name possibly in history.

Also -

People might know The Hellmen's Ben Brown, who did lots of the iconic poster and album art of indie '80's and '90's.

Legend band - totally self-driven, always did all ages gigs.

The kids probably don't know what a yuppie is, you're right!
