Quiet places to camp for NYE

Postby jack » Thu 03 Dec, 2009 8:28 pm

Hi everyone

Myself and my wife have just bought a campervan and are wanting to take it somewhere nice for a week over nye. It will also be our first trip away with our 5 month old baby girl! I only get around 9 days off work this summer so we're hoping to make the most of it and camp, fish and kayak.

I am aware that so many of the usual campsites we would stay at are packed to capacity for weeks that time of year. Does anyone have have any sugestions of drive in campsites that are not over run with hords of people? We are considering Lake Edgar campground in the SW and Policemans Point north of St Helens but are unsure if we drive there wether there will still be a spot left?

Jack, Maya and Ava :)

We are open to to pretty much anywhere in tassie ff. If the forcast looks good then i would love to head up to the lakes! But if the weather looks horrid i would feel it would probably be best to head to the east/north east coast :)

Any suggestions?
