How a 3 Year Old Packs for and Drives to a Bushwalk

Postby Son of a Beach » Mon 05 Apr, 2010 1:49 pm

Kids learn a lot by observation. It seems that I'm unintentionally teaching my kids some good things...

When I pack for a bushwalk, I generally lay everything out on the couch where I can check I've got everything I need before I put anything in the pack. This afternoon, my 3 year old was piling toys all over the couch, saying that she's going on a bushwalk.

The next step was to pack everything in a pack (or in her case, on top of some cushions on the coffee table). Then after that put it all in the car (or on the other couch), and drive the couch-mobile away.

This afternoon you say?
Nik, that BWT calendar around the corner is still on March!

Great to see she's got all the important things, well, for a 3 year old anyway...

Her couch-mobile looks more comfortable than my car that's for sure!

Careful they might hear you is borne out in a good way with this story. Oh to have the imagination on lack of care of the young plus the fuel efficiency of the couch

Good stuff Nik,
It all goes in to the memory bank - as long as us adults can remember that!
I talk to my Kids about where I have been and where I am going to take them - If I forget what I said they will remind me and want a date biroed (pencil wont do) on the calendar :D
It's good stuff.
