Point to Pinnacle fundraising for Environmental Defenders

Postby Son of a Beach » Tue 01 Nov, 2022 8:19 am

On the 20th of November I'm planning to run the Point to Pinnacle half-marathon BAREFOOT to raise money for the Environmental Defenders Office.

These guys do an amazing job of utilising the law to defend our wilderness areas and attempting to keep wild places wild. They have been instrumental in the fight to protect Halls Island so far.

So if you wish to help them in the fight, please donate to the EDO via my Point to Pinnacle fundraising page at:

They reckon that the Point to Pinnacle is the "world's toughest half-marathon". I don't know if that's true, but it's uphill nearly all the way from Wrest Point to the top of Mt Wellington. That's about 1200 metres elevation over 21 km.

I believe there is at least one other forum member on the EDO fund-raising team too, so hopefully we'll all make a decent contribution.
