Can I suggest if we get a handful of people on this thread saying they like the idea - then Wayno can have the honours of the first post. -- keep it fairly easy

I recon it is worth having a few people keen before the first post - be good to have the momentum there from the start.

Sounds like a fun game. If the ball gets rolling in the next few weeks - maybe we could include a short article in the next emag.

A good idea! It'd extend the horizon on BWA. However, suspect it may get a bit cryptic if people post at a level similar to existing local threads. Maybe a bit more clue is required on some or have a deadline of an outcome for each image.

I suspect that the number of participants would be greatly reduced, unless a NZ contingent comes on board with a NZ only competition.
Hence - the wait times between questions and answers would be greater - so a greater need for patience.
I would recommend bold landscapes rather than obscure huts, shaded tracks and small waterfalls, etc
But no problems with the concept. [I even dropped one into the Tas competition for fun once [3rd Aug 2012] - after tasadam posted one from Italy.]

When you say 'Where am I' are we talking about posting a pic upon return home?

If so, aye. I think it should be international rather than just NZ, but I do have some NZ shots if I can find them

pics dont have to be recent, thats too restrictive, you might be surprised how many in the forum have been to NZ.
my thought was feed in clues, i'm not interested in making it too difficult so few if any can guess. just find a depth where those who have nz or international experience can test their knowledge a bit without blowing their brain cells
