And some get so enthralled they end up shifting to this amazing island!
Some even day dream about the place when they are not there.
And some even like to play games about where photos might be from.

But surely you're coming back?

(oops - I meant as a numerical value - not tooting my own horn...)
And yes - thanks Nik - and everyone else for the great resource that this site provides on so many levels..

Thankyou Corvus - as always. The ferry trip is only days away, so I'm vaguely terrified (but excited too)! I am looking forward to seeing the Tasmanian coast in the first light.
For at least a little while I will be a transient new Tasmanian... "Omnia mea mecum porto" - I hope neither my legs or the single speed give out.
sml_12 wrote:Well - I got here! The ferry trip WAS great - I rode up the dock with my bike and trailer with a big contingent of Harley Davidson riders. It was pretty funny really. We had lightning off the starboard side and fog later in the evening. I was being entertained at the time by an outlaw bikie club!! The Devonport coastline is very pretty - and the weather has given me a whole heap of variety in the short time I've been here. Everyone has been incredibly friendly. About to go and experience the thrill of changing my "region" to Tasmania... no fixed address.
Thanks everyone for the encouragement and inspiration I have found here. It's been greatly appreciated.
I hope that I will have the opportunity to catch up with some of you once I have figured out where to live/work etc. Happy trails!!
... So Nik - plus 1 for Tassie.

Is there like a stats dashboard that could be available for members? I would find this quite interesting for about 5 mins...

Why so cynical when you obviously did read and yet decided to send a negative post so you did help to keep the post going

Ah, no you misunderstand. 5 minutes is my attention span length.
