[WTB Vic] Big Sky Chinook 2P or MSR Hubba Hubba NX

Postby simonetania » Fri 23 Apr, 2021 11:10 am

Hi All :)

I am looking to buy the Big Sky Chinook 2P or the MSR Hubba Hubba NX.

Preference would be the Big Sky Chinook but this is out of stock absolutely everywhere with NO idea when it will be back in stock.

I am looking for either the mesh inner or fabric inner. Was going to purchase both but once again, no stock :(

I am located in Victoria.

Just throwing it out there... I have a BigSky Chinook 1p that I’m not using at the moment? Yellow with BS tyvek ground sheet.

I was intending to sell my Big Sky International Chinool 1p (purchased from Backpacking Light Melb in 2016) a few months ago and set it up for photos. While doing this I noticed the tab on the right hand side vestibule that holds the fly to the pole frame had a slight tear. Its a fix that I have not done it as I don’t use the tent - everything else is solid and in near shop-floor condition - I was going to put it for sale for $450, but willing to be persuaded lower given the repair. Say $400?

That looks like a great buy Orbita!

Maybe the fabric edge was just a bit close to the stitching in that one spot.

I don't have one yet but a three pole dome tent seems bomber to me.

My Big Sky Revolution 2p has lasted a lot of use.

Thanks Neo - I don't know much about stitching - It's yours if you want it. I loved and used the tent for my winter snowshoe forays on the High Plains - I'm selling as I would like to use my heavier but larger Exped Venus 2 Extreme - the Chinook can find another friend. I surmise that the tab tear happened when my son was using it.

Thanks but I seem to have collected 5 bushwalking tents, one is for alpine.

Apologies for hijacking your thread simonetania.
