LOST WATCH : Wild Dogs

Postby Lotsafreshair » Sun 27 Sep, 2020 9:15 am

I lost my Garmin Fenix 5S (white) yesterday in the Wild Dogs, probably whilst negotiating the descent of Bellbird Ridge/Spur down into upper Breakfast Creek. The last 180m vertical (over 270m) is a doozy since the fires.

If you happen to be pootling around there and miraculously discover my watch, I'd love its return! Much appreciated.

Ouch!
South of Tharwa there is an etrex 30 somewhere between Mt Scabby and the old shearing shed.
Below a rock shelf before a creek.

Good news - we went back on Saturday and did a detour to check out the likely spot I thought I'd lost it. Sure enough, about 30 vertical metres from the bottom, in one of my 'slides' down the steeps... you know those hills where you're just flinging yourself from tree to tree? Yep, in there. It still had 5% battery left and somehow the band had popped out.
