I've decided to buy a sea to summit pro double hammock but I thought I'd check on here first as it seems the sort of thing someone would have laying around not being used.

It doesn't have to be the pro version but it needs to be a double.
I can collect around Melbourne and the surf coast but also happy for postage.

I'm not entirely sure what you mean.

I know that 2 people probably won't sleep comfortably in it. I need the double for the increased weight limit so 2 can sit or lay in it.

All good. I meant not comfortable for two people to sleep in it. With a young kid it' ok, but two adults is a definite no. Not sure how much you looked into hammocks, but small cottage makers tend to make better hammocks than the big brands such as S2S, Eno etc... Tier Gear in Tasmania makes excellent hammocks for example. Good luck, hammocks are the future of wild camping!
